Frank Gaylord Smith
|
During the Battle of The Bulge, he belly
landed behind enemy lines near St. Vith after
taking a hit from 20mm ground fire. Escape
required six days to penetrate German lines
reaching Bastogne as the surrounded American forces were being liberated by airborne landings.

Warren W. Smith
|
Enlisted AAF October, 1942. Completed AAF basic and CTD training and was reassigned to Class 44B(Pilot) Southeast Training Command in June 1943. Received wings and commission February 1944 at Craig AAB Selma, Alabama.

Ernest M. Sprouse
|
My Father, Ernest M. Sprouse, was a P-47 pilot. My Mothers name Gladys was the nose art. He is a proud veteran and loves his P-47 memories.

Everett Wilson Stewart
|
WWII FIGHTER ACE!
Everett Stewart graduated from Kansas State University then joined the Army Reserves in 1938 then graduated from Flight School in May, 1939. He flew with the 20th Pursuit Group prior to December 7th and then flew combat missions as a flight commander, operations officer and finally squadron commander from Hawaii and Midway Island.

28th: Sixteen (16) a/c are dispatched for a/r Germundun, Geiso area. Twelve a/c carried 2 x 265 frags with inst fuse. Four a/c cover. Four bombs 5 MT in woods at G-8322, all strafed and destroyed. Four bombs on several MT beneath overpass at G-7523 N P O. Eight bombs on 15 - 20 staff cars in woods at G-8125 - all strafed and destroyed. Damaged 3 MT at G-7623. Captain Sullivan hit by flak and bailed out at G-7522. Lt. Cuningham bellied east of Bad Kreuznach at M-1444. T/U 1245 - T/D 1625."
